Terms of Service
Last updated: June 9, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or purchasing access to Leading for the First Time (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and purchasers.
The Service is operated by Kevin Reimer (“we”, “us”, or “our”). You may contact us at kevin@howtoprincipal.com.
The Service
Leading for the First Time is a twelve-month digital leadership companion designed for first-year and early-career vice-principals. It provides structured monthly content, reflection prompts, and a year-end synthesis based on your saved entries.
The Service is delivered as a web application. Access requires an active account and, for full program access, a completed one-time purchase.
Accounts
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
- One person per account. Accounts may not be shared.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You must not create an account on behalf of another person without their consent.
- You are responsible for keeping your contact email up to date.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that are used for fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful purposes.
Access and Payment
The price is $99 CAD. This is a one-time payment. Taxes may be added at checkout, based on where you live. Upon successful payment, you receive lifetime access to the current version of the program, including any future content updates we release.
30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not happy in the first 30 days, email us for a full refund. No reason needed.
Payments are processed by Stripe. By completing a purchase, you agree to Stripe’s terms of service. All base prices are shown in CAD. Any taxes shown at checkout are calculated by Stripe.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose — personal professional development as a school leader. You must not:
- Share your account credentials or provide access to other people.
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute program content without written permission.
- Attempt to access, scrape, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
Intellectual Property
All content within the program — including monthly narratives, coaching questions, assessment items, commitment frameworks, and structural design — is the intellectual property of Kevin Reimer and is protected by copyright.
Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the program content for your own professional development. This licence does not permit you to reproduce, distribute, teach from, or build derivative products using the content.
Your reflection entries, journal responses, and personal writing belong entirely to you. We claim no ownership over content you create within the program.
Availability and Changes
We aim to keep the Service available and working well, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, update, or improve the program from time to time. Significant structural changes will be communicated by email in advance.
We reserve the right to discontinue the Service with at least 90 days’ notice. If we close the service, buyers from the past 12 months get a part refund for the unused time.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including loss of data, loss of revenue, or personal or professional decisions made in reliance on program content.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
The program provides reflective content and coaching questions. It is not a substitute for professional advice, mentorship, or formal leadership training.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Vancouver, British Columbia, in accordance with the rules of the British Columbia International Commercial Arbitration Centre.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
The current version of these Terms is always available at this URL. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates when they were most recently revised.
